6.4.2021

We are monitoring the development of the coronavirus situation. Despite the restrictions, the situation has not yet improved significantly. Taking into consideration the current situation and the recommendations of Helsinki Metropolitan Area Corona Coordination Group, we will continue distance learning until 23 April. Restaurant Perho’s customer dining facilities will remain closed until 18 April 2021. Restaurant Perho’s take away sales and Perho food truck will continue to operate normally. Helmi Center will remain closed for the time being. However, professional athletes and the youngsters born in 2008 or later may still use the facilities.

The Covid-19 pandemic in the Helsinki metropolitan area is still in the active spreading phase despite the restrictions and closures. Fortunately, in the past few days, the infection rates have begun to decline. The Helsinki Metropolitan Area Corona Coordination Group has outlined on 30 March that distance learning in secondary education will continue after Easter.

Perho Culinary, Tourism and Business College will continue distance learning until the end of the current period, i.e. until 23 April 2021.

We will continue to implement solutions for unavoidable teaching situations and contact instruction for students with special needs with careful consideration and adherence to safety instructions. We are doing everything within our power to support and help graduating students so that they can graduate within the target schedule.

notification: Perho CTB College will switch to remote studying from Mon 30.11.2020 until further notice

According to the current plan, Perho Culinary, Tourism and Business College will gradually return to contact learning methods starting on Monday 26 April during the last period of the spring semester. However, we follow the guidelines and decisions of the health authorities and experts in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Even if we partially return to contact learning, students will still be able to participate remotely. We will issue more detailed instructions for each subject in the coming weeks.
The restaurants in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area will remain closed until 18 April. This means that Restaurant Perho’s customer dining and private dining facilities will remain closed until 18 April. However, order-based takeaway lunches will continue to be available, and Perho food truck will continue its distribution rounds as usual. Helmi Center will remain closed, but professional athletes and the youngsters born in 2008 or later may still use the facilities.

The campus facilities of Perho Culinary, Tourism and Business College will remain open and campus support services are available (for example, guidance and support workshops, study office services and IT services). Face masks should always be worn when visiting school premises , and face masks are mandatory on public transportation . The only exception is if you are unable to wear a mask for medical reasons. We pay special attention to following the instructions regarding masks in all our facilities.

On our campuses, we follow the gathering restrictions issued by the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland. Currently that means adhering to a six-people maximum, as well as exercising special care and attention.

We will monitor any developments in the epidemic situation and will keep you informed on all changes in everyday practices. Additionally, we will monitor the progress of the possible government restrictions on movement and other operational COVID-19 guidelines, and apply them in our operations.

We will inform you of any changes and ask that you closely follow Wilma and this website.
