notification: Perho Culinary, Tourism & Business College introduces a face mask recommendation as of November 24, 2021

25.11.2021

The spread of the COVID-19 epidemic has in recent weeks shown signs of acceleration once again. The Helsinki Metropolitan Area Corona Coordination Group announced a policy on the use of face masks on November 23, 2021 at 4pm. According to the policy, the Helsinki Metropolitan Area will reinstate a broad recommendation for the use of face masks, regardless of one’s level of vaccination protection, for all those aged 12 and over. The recommendation also applies to educational institutions and students from the 6th grade onwards. This recommendation will be in place until January 16, 2022.

notification: We will gradually return to contact teaching from 26.4.

In accordance with the new policy, Perho Culinary, Tourism & Business College recommends using a face mask on campus in all areas and when using public transport.

The recommendation applies to students, our staff and those working on campuses, regardless of their vaccination status. Alternatively, you can use a face shield.

Naturally, mealtimes are an exception. Both campuses aim to stagger lunch times for groups of students to avoid overcrowding. Please observe a safe distance with others in break rooms and during the lunch break.  Keep your distance from others when queuing for food and eating.

The last period will end on December 17, 2021 and for the time being, studies will continue primarily in person, in accordance with the curricula and schedules already in place in all fields of education. We hope that the evolving COVID-19 situation will not require any additional changes to our school activities and in-person studies on campuses, which have otherwise gone well this autumn. We can all do our part to make a difference.

We ask that everyone at Perho take the worsening epidemic situation seriously, as they have before, and follow the mask recommendation.

If all of us at Perho work together and take care of one another, we can make it possible to continue this academic year on campus with in-person instruction. We will promptly notify of any changes in the situation, should they arise.
