Perho has a long tradition of high-quality education and systematic development. We received the Quality Award for Vocational Education when it was first introduced, and since then, quality management has been a central part of our operations. We are committed to continuously improving the quality of education, which has produced visible results over the years. We received an honorable mention in the 2020 Quality Award competition for vocational education and won the award in 2022, when the theme was sustainable development.

Perho Quality

Our quality system, Perho Quality, guides the strategic development of the institution, supports learning, and ensures impact. The system is based on the EFQM 2020 model, Lean thinking, and the Appreciative Inquiry method, all of which support continuous improvement in both development areas and strengths.

Data-Driven Management

At Perho Culinary, Tourism & Business College, development is based on comprehensive analysis of results and feedback. We utilize national data sources such as Vipunen, Arvo, and Statistics Finland reports to assess the effectiveness of education and student employment outcomes. In addition, we conduct several strategy-aligned internal surveys for students, guardians, and staff.

To support data-driven management, we use a financial data dashboard and other data tools that help monitor and analyze key indicators of educational impact and resource management. Our strategy tracking tool and annual calendar of operational results ensure that feedback and results are used effectively and that educational development is based on up-to-date data. The annual calendar of operational results defines the development cycle, survey schedules, and instructions, including links to surveys, results, strengths and development areas, and plans.

Continuous Improvement and Maintaining Strengths

Our quality system focuses not only on identifying areas for improvement but also on strengthening and maintaining our existing strengths. Student feedback shows that the quality of our education exceeds the national average, and we continuously strive to reinforce these successes. Annual analysis and development plans ensure that our strengths are utilized and developed in a goal-oriented manner.

Perho Culinary, Tourism & Business College is committed to continuous development in many ways. The sustainable development certificate from the OKKA Foundation confirms our ecological and social responsibility, and our sustainability reporting supports transparency. The European Peer Review conducted in spring 2025 brought new perspectives to the development of teaching and learning and helped identify ways to strengthen quality management.
