A vocational qualification in Restaurant and Catering Services is a secondary level vocational education and we follow the official Finnish national curriculum.

The qualification provides broad-based and diverse skills in cooking, serving, sales and customer service. In the restaurant and catering business there are a lot of different possibilities for your career here in Finland, by choosing the international restaurant field there will always be work available.

Study flexibility

Working life-oriented studies are English. Foreign students learn the basics of Finnish language. Students practice and learn their vocational skills in teaching restaurant Perho, classrooms, demonstration kitchens and in working life. Students can also study in Perho’s e-learning campus, iPerho. Every student will have a personal competence development plan made together with career counsellors.

You are on a route to higher education

Studying for a vocational qualification in English will improve your language skills and grants your eligibility for further studies either in universities or universities of Applied sciences.

There is also possibility to start pathway studies in Haaga-Helia University of applied Sciences without a stress of entrance examination. Students are offered opportunity to complete the first semester of the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in their final study year in Perho. It is possible to combine the studies of Haaga-Helia with the studies of Perho.
