Safety

Safety – everyone has the right to feel safe

Safety is important to us at Perho – we care about everyone. Everyone in the Perho community has the right to a safe environment and a sense of security in their studies and work.

Building a culture of safety together

Security comes from shared actions and good practices. We are continuously developing safety management, practices, and safety education and training. At Perho, we all have the right and the duty to address safety concerns and to take active steps to improve safety.

Low threshold for intervention

It is important to us that every student and employee feels safe – physically, mentally and socially. We support well-being in everyday life and address harassment or inappropriate behaviour with a low threshold. We have a reporting channel through which observations and experiences of harassment and inappropriate behaviour can be reported anonymously. Reports will be treated confidentially and will trigger an investigation within our institution.

Clear rules and preparedness

Our school has clear rules of the game, rules of order, safety plans and instructions for different situations that affect safety. We also practise working together in unexpected situations to make everyday life smooth and safe for everyone. Campus leaders ensure that safety and security are maintained in our campus environments.

On the campuses, we are also guided by the principles of a safer space: everyone is allowed to be themselves and to be treated with respect.

We educate all families on safety topics and regularly inform carers about safety issues at home and via Wilma.

At Perho, you can be yourself – in a safe and caring community.
