Urhea campus

The Urhea campus in Vallilla’s Mäkelänrinne is home to goal-oriented students and athletes from Perho. Here, our dual degree students in particular advance their high school studies and can train individually with professional coaching.

Completed in 2021, the joint campus will feature the Urhea hall, which will provide a modern training and support services environment designed to meet the requirements of different sports. The excellent location and accessibility of the Urhea campus will significantly facilitate the everyday life of our students.

Facilities and accessibility

The campus has an Urhea hall, student dining facilities at the Mäkelänrinne upper secondary school and an Urhea home. On campus, the Urhea Home provides rental accommodation for athletes who meet specific criteria in a residential building on campus (HOAS).

The sports facilities of the Urhea campus are complemented by the adjacent Mäkelänrinne Swimming Centre, the Kumpulanlaakso and Käpylä football fields and the Helsinki Velodrome.

Parking and bikes

The Urhea campus is very well connected by public transport. Several bus lines and tram line 1 run along Mäkelänkatu. The campus is about a 10-minute walk from Pasila train station. Car parking is available for a fee in the parking areas of the Mäkelänrinne swimming centre or the velodrome.

There is a city bike station in front of the Urhea campus. There are also facilities on campus to store your own bicycle in a rack.
