The training is open 24/7. Applicants will be interviewed on the basis of their applications according to a individual schedule. Students will be interviewed in English.

To Whom

Perho’s professional training is for you if you work as a waiter / waitress and want to strengthen your skills or aim for more demanding roles on the service and bar side. It is also suitable for those who are already in position but lack a qualification.

The training will be organized by an apprenticeship, so you must have a working place in a restaurant. The apprenticeship contract will be signed as agreed.

After having completed the Further Vocational Qualification, you can apply for higher education.

Duration

You can apply for training flexibly throughout the year – whenever you have a good time to jump in and learn or show off your skills at work.

The duration of the training is always individual. On average, studies last between 6 and 12 months. The duration of your studies will depend on your previous studies, your work experience and your learning needs.

The short courses for the vocational qualification in restaurant customer service are held in the autumn and spring with the same content.

Form of study

The Further Vocational Qualification in Customer Service in Restaurant (waiter / waitress) consists of a program of contact days, independent learning tasks and the completion of the vocational qualification. The qualification is obtained by demonstrating competence in real restaurant food and beverage service tasks.

Finnish language studies will be tailored to the degree program.

Study language

Practical teaching in the contact days will be given in Finnish. On-the-job learning and student assessments will be carried out in English.
