Apprenticeship contract and training agreement
Work-based studies
The working life skills necessary for vocational upper secondary qualifications, further vocational qualifications and specialist vocational qualifications are obtained through practical training. Studies may also be completed fully in practical training or through apprenticeship training or training agreement – or a combination of these.
Studying at the Perho Culinary, Tourism & Business College is a combination of contact studies, online studies either independently or under instruction, and through practical training. Students demonstrate their competence at the workplace.
Studies may also be completed fully through an apprenticeship or training agreement, or by combining these flexibly. Further vocational qualifications and specialist vocational qualifications are completed primarily through an apprenticeship.
The form(s) of study are agreed for you in your personal competence development plan (PCDP) at the beginning of your studies. If you already have a job, you can complete your qualification under an apprenticeship at your workplace.
Apprenticeship contract
During an apprenticeship, the student is a full-time employee and gets paid. The student’s competences are complemented in other learning environments if necessary.
- Apprenticeship training is based on a contract of employment between the employer and the student, and an agreement between the employer and education provider.
Further vocational qualifications or specialist vocational qualifications are completed through an apprenticeship.
