RESTAURANT COOK FAST TRACK PROGRAM
Vocational Qualification in Restaurant and Catering Services, competence area in Food Service
You can also study qualification for Restaurant Cook by apprenticeship or training agreement (Oppi- tai koulutussopimus) if you have a working place in a restaurant and your employer is willing to sign an apprenticeship or training contract with you and Perho Culinary, Tourism and Business College.
During this fast track program students come to school for two to four days per month for theory and cooking lessons depending what they have done before. All the competence tests and evaluations for vocational competence will be done at student’s working place.
Every student will have a personal competence development plan. Perho signs an agreement and your employer must give you guidance, feedback and evaluations during your practice.
Length of the studies: Studies last about one and a half year.
Tuition: In Finland, free education has extended to cover also citizens of other countries. There is no tuition fee.
Fast Track Program applications (Continuous application / Jatkuva haku)
You can fill up an application for Restaurant Cook Fast Track studies and you can write to your application also all the information about your employer and the possibility of apprenticeship or training agreement.
We use this so called continuous applications (Jatkuva haku) to take new students in for this Fast Track Restaurant Cook program (Apprenticeship or training contract group) if we have free study places.
Entrance interviews and tests
